To use Cushy with Spectra pumps, you'll need the Idaho Jones Spectra Flange Adapter (Widemouth Base Connector). How do I get around with my primary pump while using these?

How often does the flange need to be replaced?

Replacement timelines depend on how often you pump and which sterilization method you use. If you're using cold water or UV sterilization, your flange will likely last you your whole pumping journey. If you use bottle washer or steam sterilization, replace your flanges when the suction starts feeling weaker or the flanges start not sealing against your breasts very securely.

• Before First Use: Wash with warm soapy water and then boil for 3 minutes.
• After Each Use: Rinse, wash, and air-dry parts. Do not put in the dishwasher.
• Sanitizing: Use UV or cold water sterilization. Avoid boiling after the first use.

• Check Fit: Ensure correct nipple and flange sizing for optimal comfort and effectiveness.
• Monitor Condition: Replace flange if there are signs of wear, tear, or deformation.
• Avoid Over-tightening: Do not over-tighten when attaching to pumps, as this may cause damage or affect suction.
• Caution with Heavy Bottles: Be mindful when setting down the flanges attached to full and heavy bottles as they may tip over when empty.
